Re: Himmler's Speech on 'Extermination'?

First of all, I don't think the translation is what's relevant. Second, if you want to discuss something other than the speech itself, then it warrants another thread. Third, I find it difficult to think that 'ausrottung' refers to mere 'uprooting' when he then goes on to talk about corpses [Leichen...

Re: Himmler's Speech on 'Extermination'?

Nuezider, that 'translation' is easily shot down after 5 seconds of a quick look. Look at the German text, "ausrotten", the false English translation says "extermination", when in fact 'ausrotten' meant 'up rooting'. Typical lies used to market and profit from the impossible 'ho...

Re: Himmler's Speech on 'Extermination'?

So is this the correct transcript? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Himml ... ,_1943.ogg

And if so, then what is being misrepresented?

Re: Himmler's Speech on 'Extermination'?

So is it a faked speech or is it a real speech and he just isn't really talking about extermination? I see both things claimed here. What's the consensus?

Re: France: New evidence prompts investigation (Oradour-sur-

The investigators suspect that six soldiers, who were aged 18 and 19 during the war, may have been involved in the attack, based on evidence in the archived files of East Germany’s Stasi secret police, the BBC reports. Authorities believe they are still alive, according to the BBC. Right. The commu...

Re: When the USSR invaded Poland, Britain was silent

The standard history has it that Hitler threatened to bomb Prague if Hacha would not accept protectorate status. E.g., Kershaw reports this on pp. 171-172 of Nemesis: http://tinyurl.com/bcns7cm

Do you have a source that refutes that?

Re: When the USSR invaded Poland, Britain was silent

The Czech government sought German assistance.

Can you prove that?

Re: Mass grave of Soviet victims in Volyn, Ukraine

Fine, here: http://www.day.kiev.ua/en/article/society/poland-will-finance-excavation-nkvd-victims-graves-volyn Poland footed the bill. Given the location of Volyn, Poland must have been betting some of the bodies in the ground would be Poles. Doesn't it cloud the judgment of the archaeologist when h...

Re: When the USSR invaded Poland, Britain was silent

Munich is important because, again, it provides the context for the UK's declaration of war. The Munich Agreement had specifically stipulated that the Sudetenland would be the final territorial demand that Hitler would make. Then, not only did Hitler march into Prague and dismantle Czechoslovakia. T...

Well, certainly Kola was also compromised by the Ukrainians to "substantiate" this mass grave in Volyn.

You're aware, are you not, that the very same Kola cited here also published a book on his work at Belzec, no?

Re: When the USSR invaded Poland, Britain was silent

Is this really so surprising? Considering the timeline of events 1 Sep: Germany invades Poland 3 Sep: UK declares war on Germany 17 Sep: USSR invades Poland At this point, the UK was already at war with Germany. They were going to then declare war on the Soviets and take on two massive armies, rathe...
