Cremation patent & 3.5 kg of coke per corpse debunked

To reconstruct a coke-fired 1942 Topf designed three muffle cremation oven to prove that 3.5 kg coke is insufficient for the cremation of a 150 lb heavy human body is rather impractical it seems to me. A true Believer would not be convinced anyways, and for a Skeptic like myself not necessary. The calculated approach suffices.

But why should I care about what someone else believes? If the Holocaust Believer believes in something that in my mind is not proven to be true, then I will not share his beliefs. It is that simple. His beliefs are of no concern to me. And anyway, I will find it rather difficult to convince him of my beliefs. The only person I can convince of anything is in the end only myself. And isn’t it also true that when I speak, that I really only speak to myself, and that when I post something on the forum, that it is really to me I am posting to? And when I argue about something with someone, that I am really trying to convince only myself?

The way I see this is: A Believer explains to me what he believes is true and why, and then I will explain what I believe is true and why I think so. And that should be the end of it. No need to get angry at each other, no need for calling each other names.

I agree. We need the Max's and the Roberto's to stimulate the debate, it keeps us sharp and makes us think.
On the other board we had a pretty good discussion about Nürnberg, 'till it was shut down. It's also hypocritical to demand freedom of speech and than ban members who diagree with us.

Moderating is a no win situation to be in.

I hear from Revisionists, I hear from Believers....everyone wants it their way. Without some form of moderation we'll end up like alt. revisionism, a vertitable sewer.

Nobody is tossed for their viewpoints on the issues of this forum, they are tossed for their behavior and/or refusal to adhere to the guidelines.

This is the ONLY site on the www where we can dialogue without distractions, obfuscations, and crude namecalling. For it to work at all there must be some rules of debate. The posting guidelines here are, well...posted.

Also, threads that run on & on off topic are confusing for the casual reader, the non-posting regulars, and what's most important...the new lurker.

Help me out if you can.
