Hopefully nobody posted anything personal on there. This would be a good time to review simple measures when sending sensitive data, since almost anything can be hacked and it should always be assumed that the US government at least can view anything if the servers hosting this stuff is in its possession.
PGP encryption is very easy to do, just google "how to use PGP encryption" and you'll find hundreds of guides explaining it.
There are also websites where you can send a message that will automatically delete once it has been read (and you can add a password) or after a certain period of time. Some examples:

https://quickforget.com/

I had been using privnote myself, but after doing a bit of research people have commented online that it may not be so secure as the website claims. When in doubt, encrypt something that is sensitive yourself, using PGP or something similar.
DDoSecrets cofounder Emma Best says that the hacked data includes not only all of Gab’s public posts and profiles—with the exception of any photos or videos uploaded to the site—but also private group and private individual account posts and messages, as well as user passwords and group passwords. “It contains pretty much everything on Gab, including user data and private posts, everything someone needs to run a nearly complete analysis on Gab users and content,” Best wrote in a text message interview with WIRED.
So they have the passwords and emails, in which case i would very strongly suggest anyone change their passwords on other accounts connected to the same email address if you have used Gab.
A lot of websites I will use the same password with the same email, so be careful with this.
