Germany's AfD Party Takes Exception to Nonsensical 'Holocau$t Memorial'

Postby Hannover » 6 years 2 months ago (Fri Mar 24, 2017 10:21 pm)

Things are stirring in Germany.

Have a look here as the AfD party is demonized for demanding respect for Germany.
Notice the language used in this article to attack prideful Germans.
One certainly has to wonder how large this alleged "fury" really is. Perhaps more appropriately described as 'Zionist, neo-Marxist fury'.

The tide is turning.

German fury at AfD Hoecke's Holocaust memorial remark

Mr Hoecke said Germany needed a "180-degree turn'' when remembering its past

A leader of Germany's right-wing AfD has provoked outrage for condemning the Holocaust memorial in Berlin.

Bjoern Hoecke, who heads Alternative for Germany in the eastern state of Thuringia, is notorious for incendiary remarks on refugees and race.

He told supporters that Germans were the "only people in the world who planted a memorial of disgrace in the heart of their capital".

One politician accused him of incitement.

Ralf Stegner, a leading figure in the centre-left Social Democrats, tweeted: "Hoecke gives inflammatory speech, wants to rewrite history". Mr Stegner then demanded "no influence for the Neo-nazi mob!"

Thuringia's state Prime Minister, Bodo Ramelow, said it was not the first time the AfD leader had used "Nazi language".

The AfD started out as a Eurosceptic party but has quickly moved to the right and made rapid strides in regional elections in Germany. Its national leader, Frauke Petry, said last year that police should shoot at migrants entering the country illegally.

The party is expected to pick up seats in federal elections, which will take place on 24 September. Latest opinion polls suggest the AfD attracts at least 11% support among German voters.

Some 200 protesters gathered outside the hall in Dresden where the AfD leader was speaking to party supporters on Tuesday night.

He was given a standing ovation as he began his address and was applauded when he targeted the memorial of 2,711 stone slabs, which opened in 2005 and commemorates the six million Jews of Europe murdered by the Nazi regime.

He spoke of the German state of mind until now as of a "brutally defeated people" and Germany needed a "180-degree turn'' when remembering its past.

"Merkel must go" is a commonly used slogan by AfD supporters

Instead of teaching Germany's schoolchildren about the country's world-renowned philosophers, musicians and inventors, of which he suggested Germany had more than any other people, German history was being made "lousy and ridiculous", he complained.

To audience chants of "Merkel must go!" he likened the German chancellor to East Germany's Communist leader Erich Honecker, who was forced to resign by his party shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall.
'True face of AfD'

Green party chairman Simone Peter condemned his speech as "unspeakable". "The AfD must unequivocally distance itself from this and apologise to our Jewish friends."

Berlin's Holocaust memorial has become a key destination for tourists in the capital

The chairman of Germany's Central Council of Jews, Josef Schuster, said that the party had "shown its true face with these anti-Semitic and utterly inhuman words".

Some politicians pointed out that the AfD leader had given his speech hours after Germany's Constitutional Court decided against imposing a ban on the far-right NPD party, arguing that it was not a threat to the country's democracy.

There was some criticism from within Bjoern Hoecke's own party. Marcus Pretzell, the husband of national leader Frauke Petry, said he had shown considerable ignorance about the Nazi era.

The AfD is due to host a conference in Germany at the weekend that includes right-wing and far-right European leaders. Mr Pretzell, himself an AfD regional chairman, wrote on Facebook (in German) that the world was watching the party and it still had a lot to learn.
If it can't happen as alleged, then it didn't.

Unsurprisingly, the current guardians of the vassal state of Germany label anti-German hate speech as history and pro-German statements as anti-Semitic hate speech, utterly inhumane words, and rewritten history. State-sponsored hate speech (in this instance, anti-German hate speech) is still hate speech even when concealed behind a struggle against alleged hate speech (in this instance, anti-Semitic hate speech) for political purposes. Holo-fraud advocates are plain bullies unable to discuss policies and ideas without silencing their opponents with vilifying labels. The best proof the truth is not on their side...
"[Austen Chamberlain] has done western civilization a great service by refuting at least one of the slanders against the Germans
because a civilization which leaves war lies unchallenged in an atmosphere of hatred and does not produce courage in its leaders to refute them
is doomed.

Following Herr Hoecke's speech, charges of hate crimes (Volksverehetzung) were brought against him. Apparently such charges can be brought by Bundestag members. Delegates from the neo-communist Die Linke party and the SPD brought the charges. (This is the account given at his German wiki page). The lead accuser was a West German called Diether Dehm (born 1950 in Frankfurt/Main), a true-believing western member of the neo-communist Die Linke party, and former voluntary informant for the Stasi ("inoffizieller Mitarbeiter").

Herr Hoecke's Heresy, in the original German:
„Wir Deutschen – und ich rede jetzt nicht von euch Patrioten, die sich hier heute versammelt haben – wir Deutschen, also unser Volk, sind das einzige Volk der Welt, das sich ein Denkmal der Schande in das Herz seiner Hauptstadt gepflanzt hat.“

A court acquitted Hoecke of his serious Crimes Against the Holocaust (not the technical legal term) in March 2017. (The jail cell sits ready for his next offense...) It was too late for him, though, as his own party had already expelled him.

He was expelled from the AfD on February 13th, 2017, a.k.a. Dresden Memorial Day.

Please read your own links. He is not expelled, they started a "Einleitung eines Parteiausschlussverfahrens gegen Höcke", meaning a process for investigating whether he could be expelled, or not. He has received support from some prominent leaders in the party, according to the same link.

He is still representing them in the Landtag, for example.

Methinks the german bureaucracy is getting "tired" (or overwhelmed) of enforcing these thought crime laws.

Thank you for this correction!

I think I was remembering the English media headlines "AfD votes to expel Hoecke" which is vague (and meant they had voted to start a process, not actually done it). (This is why it pays to read material in the original language if possible.)

Here is another headline on the issue:

Thüringer AfD nennt Höcke-Hitler-Vergleich "absurd"
In ihrem Ausschlussantrag wirft die Parteiführung dem Thüringer Fraktionsvorsitzenden Nähe zum Nationalsozialismus vor. Höckes Landesverband wies das empört zurück.
Thurignia's AfD calls the Hoecke-Hitler comparison "absurd"

In its motion to expel Hoecke, the party leadership has accused the head of the Thuringia state AfD delegation of being too close to National Socialism. Hoecke's regional delegation rejects this.

The other interesting thing of note on Bjorn Hoecke in the WWII context is that is that his grandparents were (all?) Heimatvertriebene from East Prussia and he was born in Nordhein-Westfalen in 1972.

Yes, that's it. There is proceedings against him, but no expulsion from the party. Apparently some people in the party fear repercussions from voters, when they don't subscribe to the Holocaust dogma. That shows you the power of ideological hegemony . Ironically the the AfD would probably win elections with a landslide would the Holocaust dogma be demolished. The common Naziphobia of Germans keeps them glued to the establishment-parties. In Thuringia where Hoecke is a MP, the AfD is especially strong. Holocaust piety and brainwashing is far stronger in Western Germany, where the Holocaust was a frequent subject in media and schools since the 1970s.

Check your google with search terms "Bjoern Hoecke". Holocaust related articles feature prominently. Why the prominence? The establishment feels threatened by someone lacking Holocaust piety, hence must immediately attack dissenters.

Meanwhile Bjoern Hoecke didn't even "Deny the Holocaust". All he said was that the prominence the "commemoration" of it enjoys in public life is inappropriate. This prominence was of course pushed by the establishment in Politics, civil society and media in Germany where it serves as justification ideology for all kind of political and cultural nonsense. For them the Holocaust is a ring of power, they can't allow for it to be questioned. It's a means to disparage the older generation Germans and put them under general suspicion, weakening their role of being a cultural source by way of tradition.

This reminds me of the famous line from Dr. Faurisson that the “main victims [of the Holocaust swindle] are the German people –- but not their leaders -– and the Palestinian people in their entirety.” This is a profound little statement worth thinking about.

I would say it is a little more complicated than Faurisson's elegant and simple statement. According to my understanding of the matter, in the 1970s and 1980s, a large part of the 'establishment (Center-)Right' (CDU/CSU) believed and pushed a "Germans Were Victims (Too)" narrative. They implicitly (and occasionally, still in those days, explicitly) rejected that central tenet of the Holocaust dogma, i.e. Unique German Guilt/Evil. Many, no doubt, knew that the then-competing narrative of the Jewish Holocaust story, the gas chambers and the sacred six million, was basically a sham.

In the context of the struggle for political power, it was always the parties of the Left that pushed the Holocaust, and overwhelmed the Germans-are-Victims faction of the German (Center-)Right. It must be understood, in the German domestic politics context, to be a way to discredit the Right and thus advance in politics. The more to the Right you are, the less moral you are, because of Auschwitz. Simple. And the more people believed this, the more the careers of people like Joschka Fischer (a Holocaust Maniac) were lifted...

The same today, with the Hoecke case. It was a delegate of the neo-communist Linke party that tried to destroy Hoecke by bringing up charges of Holocaust Heresy.
