Question about auschwitz gas chambers.

I saw a video showing to what appears to be scratch looking marks on the walls of gas chambers and claimed in the video that it was from victims trying to climb up the wall, does anyone have a other explanation for this? as I know gas chambers have been debunked a couple of times.

According to the Auschwitz Memorial Museum themselves, these are not scratch-marks from prisoners supposedly being gassed.

These are not nail marks. These are sad marks of vandalism made inside the historical building of the former gas chamber by visitors who do not know how to behave in a historical place.

If you read the replies, they show a photo they claim is the same wall but inaccessible to visitors, with no scratch marks:

"Here is the same wall two meters away - in the place where visitors have no access."

I also fail to understand, if the homicidal gassing claims were true, how climbing up the wall or scratching it would help anything at all.

Hello Soza- Having been inside all the existing "gas chambers" at the Auschwitz complex, I can say the story is absurd. Most often it refers to
various marks on the wall of the morgue at Auschwitz Main Camp, Krema I. The building has low ceilings so the idea of "climbing up walls"
is a fantasy. The scratches could come from multiple sources such as the crowds of tourists who visit the site.

More obviously, the Krema I building was abandoned as a crematorium/morgue at sometime in 1943 and was converted into use as an
air raid shelter. Several interior modifications were made. It seems a bit unlikely that the Camp administration would renovate the building, open it up to common use and forget to remove obvious traces of mass murder.

The tales of rooms marked by handprints and scratches became a common theme of allied propaganda...along with tales of a vast
German conspiracy to "hide all the evidence." Thus, Believers tell us the Germans dug up hundreds of thousands of bodies at Auschwitz and disposed of them without a trace BUT left rooms full of gruesome traces of murder.

Amazingly, the web is filled with tourists posting confused stories of "actually having seen the 'evidence' themselves."

Did a tour of the Auschwitz nazi concentration camp today. In the "shower room" the walls had scratch marks all over them. I don't know for definite and the photo doesn't do it justice but it really creeped me out that they look like scratch marks made by the victims finger nails as they desperately tried to escape somehow.

Hate smears against Germans is ok. And it is probably good business. Tours of the "Death Factory" is big business. Tourist bus after tourist
bus dropped off young and old making a pilgrimage to see the macabre collection of gas chambers, walls of death, torture posts, piles
of old shoes, and recreations of "eye witness" stories, including scratch marks of victims.
