The sensational "Rechnitz massacre"

Postby Waldgänger » 4 months 2 weeks ago (Sat Jan 21, 2023 1:11 pm)

It's like an absurd 1970s exploitation film:

EVIL NAZI AUNTY HOLDS LATE-WAR DINNER PARTY WHERE GUNS ARE HANDED OUT TO GUESTS, 200 JEWS HUNTED ON ARISTOCRATIC ESTATE

https://www.haaretz.com/jewish/2020-04- ... bf506c0000

A "courageous" Jew bringing this affair to light:

https://www.nationalfonds.org/detail-view/595

Interesting attempt at revisionism by mainstream authorities, albeit of some details only, not about the fact of the massacre itself:

https://www.spiegel.de/international/ge ... 12869.html

I don't have much to say about this. It seems there is a whole industry that exists to make up lurid sensational stories for the amusement of a half-believing mass constantly brought back to a stupor of awe at the inhumanity of Germans.

I just wanted to bring it to the attention of the community, as it seems not to have been mentioned in any article on the site, and a search on the Forum brings up no results.

Something that reminds me of this was found in the alleged transcripts of eavesdropped recordings of German officers by the British -- from the book Soldaten

A Lieutenant Colonel August von der Heydte also reported—albeit in
secondhand fashion—that executions resembled hunts:

HEYDTE: The following is a true story told me by BÖSELAGER (?), who
managed to get the “Swords” before being killed. Oberstleutnant
Freiherr von BÖSELAGER (?) was a comrade from my “Regiment.” He
experienced the following. It must have happened in 1942 or
1941 or whenever it was, sometime at the beginning of the show,
I believe in POLAND, when an “SS-Führer” was sent there as a
civilian commissar.

GALLER*: Who?

HEYDTE: The “SS-Führer.” I believe BÖSELAGER (?) had just been awarded
the “Oak-leaves.” He was having dinner and after dinner the
former said: “Now we’ll have a look at a little ...” They then
drove out in a car and—it sounds like a fairytale but it is a fact—
shot guns were lying about, ordinary ones, and thirty Polish Jews
were standing there. Each guest was given a gun; the Jews were
driven past and every one was allowed to have a pot shot at a
Jew. Subsequently they were given the coup de grace.254

SRM 1163, 5 January 1945, TNA, WO 208/4140

Per hearsay I was told a similar story by an acquaintance that his Jewish house doctor told him. He was a 'Holocaust Survivor' and he told him he had to take part in duels organized by the SS-officers for their entertainment. People tend to believe their doctors, but that they may tell stories to gain sympathy (shielding them from lawsuits, when they slip up) doesn't come to mind of most people. That story may have been inspired by that kind of movies, which are fear porn for Jews.

Spiegel:
The massacre did happen, though, and the circumstances surrounding it remain unclear .... On the night of March 24 to March 25, 1945, some 200 Hungarian Jews were murdered in the Austrian town of Rechnitz near the Austro-Hungarian border. The bodies of the victims still haven't been found.

It did happen, 200 Jews murdered - but no physical evidence for this. So how do you know that 'it happened', when you have not even physical evidence for 200 corpses. Where they abducted by aliens?

Shouldn't that have been half-witted instead of half-believing?

No, cold beer, it is my conviction that most people are only "half-believing" because all they know of the Holocaust is "6 million jews" and "gas chambers", with a few stories of cruel SS/Gestapo members being evil. They don't believe the actual historical narrative, as it were, only a cultural memory of the basics. They are usually shocked to hear that the photos & video clips we all see in school were not of death camps, etc., and they are quickly shaken by basic things like "wooden doors". They are not half-wits, only half-believers, faithful by default but not convicted.
