“In an interview on Tuesday with Portuguese state radio RDP, Iranian ambassador Mohammed Taheri said: "When I was ambassador in Warsaw, I visited Auschwitz and Birkenau twice and made my calculations. To incinerate 6 million people, 15 years would be necessary."”

Unfortunately the ambassador’s statement represents what Arthur Butz was talking about when he wrote in the Daily Northwestern, “For many years I ignored revisionism coming from Islamic countries, because I found it inept. “ Statements like the above leave the Iranian position open to ridicule. The Holocaust as alleged has had more films, books and newspaper reports done on it than any combination of other historical events in the history of man in the last 60 years and this ambassador is able to write if off through a couple visits to Auschwitz with a calculator or notepad. The Iranians should all get on the same page and state that there doubts were engendered by scientific arguments put forward by revisionists in the west (such as Rudolf, Butz, Weber, Irving et al) and that they would like to do a few scientific tests of their own to satisfy themselves that the Zionists are telling the truth and not just continuously repeating the official story for self-serving purposes.

I think Iran's remarks are meant to gain publicity. Exaggeration draws attention to the fact that time lengths involved do render the storyline as impossible. Now for the True Believers to respond they must give what they feel is valid data, numbers, times, etc. And guess what ... that's where the thinking person sees the fraud of it all. The Industry's ridiculous accusations and specific explanations are what founded Revisionism.

Initially the Ambassador may bother those striving for precision, but given the outrageous claims that are made by the Industry, an attention getting device such as this may be necessary for shock effect. I think eventually after they have everyone's attention, the Iranians will refine their approach. See:

Remember, Iran has tried to send a forensic team to Auschwitz, but have been denied access:

I disagree. Even a few trips to Auschwitz by the science minded can shoot the story to shreds, see The Rudolf Report:

If it can't happen as alleged, then it didn't.
