Auschwitz torture cells?
I saw a video claiming there were standing cells in Auschwitz utilized to torture Jews. Can anybody provide some insight on this?
Re: Auschwitz torture cells?
You could provide the video for starters.
What does the allegation base on. Hearsay? A thorough investigation?
Apparently, there were prison cells in Auschwitz. But essentially this only prevented imprisoned inmates from visiting the post office, cafeteria, swimming pool, etc. And they couldn't socialize with the other inmates.
I also heard there was corporal punishment for certain offences and I think some of the guards could get rough. On the other hand, most problems an inmate could have was probably from other prisoners.

Unable to locate the exact video that was seen.

Here is a photo that looks similar to what I had saw. I believe it belongs on Block 11

Block 11 was the prison block of the Main Camp. They sentenced prisoners to corporal punishment for crimes committed inside the camp. But there were no torture cells for Jews.
Re: Auschwitz torture cells?
In Auschwitz Stammlager Block 11, the camp prison, there are four cells in the basement that measure about 90 cm × 90 cm which are too small to lie down in (3D panorama: https://panorama.auschwitz.org/tour1,2946,en.html) where punished prisoners would have to spend consecutive nights in. There were also standing cells in Barracks 2 of the men’s camp BIb in Birkenau. (D. Czech, Kalendarium, 1989, p. 324).

It is claimed that prisoners to be punished were locked into these cells with three other prisoners. So according to this story, the prison guards put three more random people in there when a prisoner had committed a crime punishable by being put in a standing cell. This claim is apparently based on the report of an anonymous released prisoner. (C. Mattogno. The Making of the Auschwitz Myth, 2021, p. 135). Since these standing cells aren’t too small to sit down in, the whole thing had to be dramatised, apparently. Moreover, the cells are mere reconstructions, just like the other “reconstructions” located at Auschwitz:
Concerning torture: According to the IMT, it is a “fact of common knowledge” that during the war the company Krupp produced boxes which looked like wardrobes, but were in fact torture boxes! (IMT XVI, p. 556–7).
As an aside: why is there a prison in an alleged death camp?

Hans Langbein writes about the new commandant (cf. Kalendarium of 23 November 1943) in his book "Menschen in Auschwitz" (People in Auschwitz): "Liebehenschel ushered in a new era in the history of Auschwitz. His reforms first concerned Block 11 (the political police), since the arbitrary shootings in this block had provided the impetus for all the changes (the replacement of Höss and Mildner and the arrest of Grabner). He stopped the periodic selections followed by shootings in the bunker. Executions were still carried out later, but further away from the (main) camp in the crematoria in Birkenau. He had the standing cells demolished, which offered no place to sit or lie down and in which prisoners had been punitively locked up until then. He issued a general bunker amnesty and later had the Black Wall [that is the execution wall, C. S.] demolished. He also abolished the order to shoot anyone caught trying to escape; under the cover of this order, the unpopular could be eliminated without further ado ... From now on, apprehended fugitives were to be transferred to another concentration camp […]"

To provide soap for Germany … [Prof. Spanner] used, in the mode of the Shakespearean witches, racially and ethnically diverse corpses in his experiments … This defies the popular perception that the soap was made of “pure Jewish fat.” … We may consider this misperception a curious symptom of a purist and essentialist reading, or, at least, note that the tension between essentialism and utilitarianism reaches its peak in this misreading.

Looks like a stable for rabbits or small stock.

The nazis were fiendish with their warped imaginations for barbarity and cruelty!

Hans Fritzsche in solitary confinement "in cell where he cannot lie down" at the Soviet prison of Lubianka.

Re: Auschwitz torture cells?
Good to know that corporal punishments couldn't be carried out in the German camps without a formal and motivated request in writing and a written permission from the central office for the administration of concentration camps.

Recall this and that abuses were explicitly prohibited towards guards. Question is if it was enforced... Meaning: Were guards that abused prisoners punished?
Perhaps more documents on concentration camp regulations should be collected.
