BBC Denial denial film

Postby forasanerworld » 3 years 11 months ago (Tue Jul 09, 2019 1:26 pm)

"David Baddiel has warned of "more insidious" Holocaust denial as he makes a new BBC film to keep the memory of survivors alive."

This link https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/07/07/david-baddiel-warns-insidious-holocaust-denial-makes-new-bbc/ should go through the paywall, PM me if it doesn't.

A key point "Over the course of the production, which is executively produced by Emily Shields, Mr Baddiel will talk to academics and historians to trace how denial has evolved since the end of the second world war as well as why people are still denying the Holocaust today."

Who will he talk to, how partisan their stance, will Mark Webber be interviewed or even better have his UK entry ban removed, or perhaps a séance held with Prof Robert Faurisson

Wal to Wall Media https://www.walltowall.co.uk/

“Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance.” possibly William Paley

Wall to Wall Media, the producer and Mr Baddiel could possibly do with some enlightenment, whether they want it, or not.

Who will he talk to

I bet not a single published revisionist. Anyone want to take me up on that bet? I bet $1000 :P
"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance -- that principle is contempt prior to investigation."

NOTE: I am taking a leave of absence from revisionism to focus on other things. At this point, the ball is in their court to show the alleged massive pits full of human remains at the so-called "extermination camps." After 8 decades they still refuse to do this. I wonder why...

If he does that, he will be exchanging words with a man who now believes in gas chambers and jews being exterminated in the action reinhard camps, but unable to provide the proof that convinced him and made him change his views.

I found out after Jim Rizoli interviewing Weber.

I forgot the unfortunate "Iscariot" event but as I wasn't "in" this arena when all hell was breaking loose I suppose we need to remember what was done at the time.

I don't bet, but I worry for your finances. The BBC has interviewed Mark Weber in the past.

I doubt it. Faurisson is dead, unfortunately. According to the standard lore, anyone who doesn't believe in the holocaust is neither an academic nor a historian, but a pseudo-scientist. No academic title can refute this dogma.

Thus, I predict he is going to talk to orthodox "academics and historians" who specialize in calling unbelievers "deniers" and "antisemites".

What is my evidence? Well, the article that you referenced. It states:

"The film, made by Wall to Wall Media, will attempt to answer fundamental questions including why is Holocaust Denial growing and what does this tell us about anti-Semitism said the BBC Factual.

The end of the film will see Mr Baddiel emerge with a new perspective on an issue that goes beyond the events of the Holocaust – and sheds light on a very 21st century malaise – the denial of historical fact."

This seems to support my hunch.

O.K. So this is going to be bad publicity. But, bad publicity is better than no publicity at all. A fair amount of people watching the documentary will be enlightened of the fact that "holocaust denial" is alive and kicking. Some of them will become curious and do their research and eventually read some of the holocaust handbooks. This will send shivers down the spines of many holocaust believers.
If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.

Well they would have to come to the USA to do it

I'm glad I bailed out on this bet. Lamprecht was right, The BBC was contacted with the names and (with their permission) contact details of several published revisionists and chose not to include a representation of their views, though some were spoken to by telephone in the months before the programme was made.

I consider the behaviour of the researchers and programme makers on the whole consciously misleading. They failed to communicate salient facts, despite being made aware of them. As a result, they are unworthy of the authority they have in shaping public opinion on the subject of the Holocaust. I am disappointed in them.

Is this program ("Confronting Holocaust Denial," 2020, BBC; 60m; presenter: David Baddiel; producer: Emily Shields) available somewhere in full online? I only see brief clips on the BBC site.

At 45:15 David Baddiel says:
“...I'm coming around to the conclusion that I'm going to have to meet at least one — a maximum of one hopefully — holocaust denier in order to understand this phenomenon. And the one I'm thinking about is this person who got in touch with me WHEN THE PROGRAMME WAS FIRST ANNOUNCED. This guy Dermot Mulqueen...”

What's funny is that David knows exactly who Germar Rudolf is and who Nick Kollerstrom is.

Nick is British. Germar is American and can be easily reached on skype. He has done skype interviews before and the codoh youtube channel hosted them BEFORE THE CHANNEL WAS DESTROYED! Observe David has a copy of Mattogno's "Auschwitz Lies" on the couch beside him. David knows these names. He knows their claims. What does he do? Pick on an Irishman who clearly hasn't done enough reading and wasn't equipped to ask the real tough questions. David Baddiel fears Germar Rudolf and Nick Kollerstrom.

Good point, Werd.

Of course Baddiel could always come here and ask questions.
But then some people don't want to be on record of getting responses they can't spin and can't lie about.

No alleged human remains of millions upon millions to be seen in allegedly known locations, no 'holocaust'.
If it can't happen as alleged, then it didn't.

Dermot Mulqueen (born ca. 1966) is an obscure figure for sure, who gets only one hit in the CODOH database. It was for his violent 2015 Holocaust protest, for which he was jailed by an Irish court for a few months.

CODOH Forum member borjastick wrote: "[T]hey chose Mulqueen very carefully so as to make their point that holocaust deniers are loons."

I watched the clip of the Mulqueen appearance, and he doesn't really come across as a loon from what he says. His looniness is implied via his introduction as a "guy who put an axe through a TV because he was angry about Holocaust Memorial Day." Certainly he is not the kind of person Baddiel should have approached if a revisionist authority is what he was after; borjastick is right that they had to search hard to find a figure like this. They also edit selectively Mulqueen's appearance to make him look rather loonier than he probably is. He is a little bit of an eccentric, as he wrote two Holocaust songs and performed them for the film crew.

_______________________

Here is the documentary video (however long it lasts), for reference, found deep in the other thread:

David Baddiel: No sooner had we sat down, than he begins to trot out the same untruths we've heard many times before.

Dermot Mulqueen: The whole narrative about the Final Solution, and the Holocaust, ...when you examine it, like I have done, there were no homicidal ovens. [....]

Baddiel: (scratching own head continuously) Everything you're saying now, is based on this reading that you've done.

Mulqueen: Exactly.

Baddiel: And, uhh, none of it is true, Dermot. That's the thing. None of it is real. Are you able to understand you've bought into a lie?

They then proceed to argue for a while, by David Baddiel's telling for over half an hour, of which Baddiel lets several more edited minutes into the final cut. The total amount of screen time for the Baddiel vs. Mulqueen segment is seven minutes (45:15 to 52:30).

Sannhet quoted:
Dermot Mulqueen: The whole narrative about the Final Solution, and the Holocaust, ...when you examine it, like I have done, there were no homicidal ovens. [....]

This is an annoying thing, where exterminationists claim "Deniers" deny the crematoria.
Look on YouTube for Mark Weber's interview on Hannity, where it was said that "Deniers" deny the gas chambers and crematoria, shows the ovens on video saying "This is what Holocaust deniers pretend is fake"

That being said, what is a "Homicidal oven"? Sounds to me like it would be an oven where you put living people inside and then burn them to death. This didn't happen. But there were crematoria in some camps, and dead bodies were cremated in them. This was important to stop the spread of disease. Some liewitnesses say that people were burned alive, but this is clearly nonsense.

Apparently though, the thought of Jews being cremated is "Horrifying" - the first Argentine COVID death was a Jew, so the corpse was cremated, and this was "horrifying"
