Yes, I've been hoping for proof of the Soviet trials, but I can't find anything that is sourced, just allegations with names and numbers that vary with every website. I believe they were part of the Leningrad trials, and had nothing to do with the other 3 allies. There was a post on the other board a few months ago, where Jackson or one of the other big Americans decided to "put their foot down" with Katyn, which leads me to the conclusion that they knew good and well that the Commies were throwing around rotton affidavits like a crazy fishwife. The Search function isn't on line today, though.

Nuremberg didn't try the case, as you know, because everyone knew the Soviets were responsible, but somehow in the French record got mixed up, and while technically the Loi Gayssot didn't cover the Leningrad trials, a French law maker was actually the subject of prosecution because of the mix up, and was only let off the hook when Gorbie admitted in 1989 that they'd done it all along. I had a long email conversation about this with Paul Godfried last year, and I've got the details somewhere around here.

It would be great, though, if someone could find out for sure if Germans were punished by any of the allies at one of the kangaroo courts, so we could throw it back in the face of the Intimidator General of the Establishment.
