Pro-Revisionist Films and Videos. More than 2?

Postby Carto's Cutlass Supreme » 1 decade 8 years ago (Fri Dec 31, 2004 3:25 am)

Let's say a basic filming of a lecture doesn't count. I'm talking about edited films.

Is the David Cole video pretty much it? Wasn't anything made in the 70's or 80's? Anything?

There's the Mr. Death video. Arguably that's one, so now we have 2.

Someone like Hannover or Scott should learn Final Cut Pro or I-Movie for Pete's sake.

It's like the philosophy of Marshall McLuhan, "the Medium is the Message." The other side is kicking our ass because we are in the text world and they are in the movie world. Maybe.

Then again we know about the JDL and Cole. But someone wouldn't have to show their face in the film.

We have our advantages (were we to ever make a movie): because it wouldn't be a "for profit" movie. Due to that, all kinds of copyright liberties are available. We could use their footage, and simply comment on it.

The first time Errol Morris showed his film Mr. Death to a trial audience at Harvard University, some students after viewing it said they believed Leuchter's theory, and thus a startled Morris went back to the editing room and changed it somewhat.

And talk about definition of a true artist or artist-movement: an individual or small group of individuals who are aware of truths that the vast population is oblivious to, and via their art try to enlighten their fellow man, largely out of love for their fellow man (seeing that their falsehoods burden them.) And like all the hugest art movements throughout history, the super vanguards get beat up, put in jail, threatened,--that would be Faurisson, Zundel, Cole and others.

May I ask what is prohibiting you from learning Final Cut or Adobe Premiere or some other video editing program?

If you are so eager to advance revisionism on a certain front, why not contribute your own time and efforts, instead of waiting for others to shoulder the load?

On the BBC in the UK, starting next Tuesday, is a 6-part Holocaust documentary that is supposedly the result of painstaking research "behind the iron curtain". The Saturday papers that I buy both had a holocaust piece complete with many of the crazy myths that have been debunked beyond question..
A great project would be to take an existing documentary and edit in facts to shoot down the claims made within.

Richard Perle: that's a good idea!

Braveheart: I've thought about it. I wonder about other things though too: how could revisionists collaborate to make something. Is it possible to be anonymous with one another but still collaborate on a project somehow? That is a question I have.

Certain things that come to mind are the following, just off the top of my head:

--a person could post their idea here, or even post a script, or links to a storyboard, and get feedback from the people here.

--one person could write the script, the other could turn that script into reality

--one person could do a short video on Treblinka, and another on Auschwitz, and then they could be combined.

--a person could make something small, provide a link, get feedback, and then change it and make it bigger.

CCS:
There have been tons of videos, and why don't lectures count? They often contain great graphics and general visuals.

MADE IN RUSSIA: The Holocaust
Revisionist Carlos Porter expands on his book of the same title, which exposes most of the "documents" used in the Nuremberg Trials as fakes and forgeries made in the Soviet Union. With captivating wit, he takes us through many of the original holocaust stories which were so ludicrous that you can't help but chuckle and wonder how anyone could have taken seriously. Filmed on location in Luxembourg, Mr Porter, a former American citizen, exposes a hoax of tragic proportions, considering all the people who have been executed and are still being persecuted because of this crime against justice. It also puts the Holocaust guru Raul Hilberg, author of the Destruction of the European Jews in a different light. Hilberg's research is based almost exclusively on those "documents".

It looks like "Made in Russia" might be number 3!

I put the criteria that it had to be an edited film, because of the McLuhan idea of "the medium is the message" meaning that what medium you use has a lot to do on it's effectiveness. There's something huge that a taped lecture doesn't have.

Any way to buy noontide press stuff anonymously? I don't want some spy employee who the IHR might soon hire to take a cell phone camera shot of my name on some list of names.

OK then, when do you start Carto's Cutlass Supreme's 'High Production Value Revisionist Video'? Think you'll be able to just prance around Auschwitz and shoot all the footage you want?

Oh come one, do you really think the powers that be can't find out who you really are without the cloak & dagger cell phone camera stuff?

Thanks for participating, you bring a lot to the Forum.

LOL.

But what I want to see is Hannover's 5 minute clip, which he edited in imovie and used a $700 DV camera, and used found footage. I think you're somebody that could do this Hannover.

I'm not sure if those powers could find out who I am. They'd need admin access to this forum etc, and even then it would be very tough for them. Plus if they ever contacted me or harrassed me, they would be breaking the law. Which brings up a big point involving making videos. There's a discrepancy in the law about being a "public figure." I think if you put your face in the video, that makes you a public figure. Another example: If you ever called a press conference, that makes you a public figure. If you give an interview, that makes you a public figure. If you don't do that stuff, you are a private individual and you can sue for big dollars about defamation of character etc. I might have this a bit wrong though.

The ADL took a taped phone conversation and made it public, and I think they lost 10 million in the lawsuit against them. That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. The people talking were in the private realm.

One thing I'm getting at is this, for somebody to make a revisionist video, they are going to need to know the law about copyright/public domain/Fair Use, and about "public figure" law.

I hope CCS doesn't mind me bumping this vintage thread. But it's interesting to see here the seed of Denier Bud. This would have been about a year or a year and a half before One Third of the Holocaust came out. The man got the idea and made it happen. Props.

And now the CODOH documentary page has dozens of examples. If anyone has new ideas for a documentary then go for it !

There are 2 sides to every story - always listen or read both points of view and make up your own mind. Don't let others do your thinking for you.

I'd have several ideas. But I also know that producing 'a movie' isn't for free. It takes time, effort, skills and some thorough funding, before one can hopefully engage in this.

One would have to look at what subjects need still be covering. And what did actually work well as a video in the past.

I think 'one third of the Holocaust' was white revealing, so was the Buchenwald film... The "Why we believed" is a good introduction. Eric Hunt made several good ones. I could imagine one could do one or more on 'psychological warfare' the anti-German propaganda campaign in the 1930s. Of course the Nuremberg IMT would a field to look through. But this would get broader as well than WW2 and Holocaust Revisionism.

What I'm interested in is also broader. The development of the whole pre WW2 period in Germany, Europe and also linkage to events in the British Empire. The 'life of the people' is for me more of interest than the central political issues.
