Daily Stormer & others Shut Down -Who's Next, us???

I've not had any trouble bringing up Incog Man and just did so a few minutes ago. The only three sites that are down for sure that I know of are, Stormfront, Daily Stormer and InfoStormer.

I was just trying to get on Stormfront and I couldn't access it. So I immediately came here to check if Codoh was taken down to, thankfully you guys are still up. (((They))) have been working over time recently to take full control over the Internet.

It looks like coordinated harassment of dissident voices. In this case web sites are the target. But those of us that run web sites should take note of this and find ways to hedge against this kind of attacks.

You should definitely think about making the site available on the Tor network, and maybe even I2P. It is near-impossible to shut down a site on those networks, and probably only by breaking the whole network. The Daily Stormer have already made an onionsite for backup.

I myself run a library on those networks and am very happy with it at inclibuql666c5c4.onion and inclib.i2p (you need to use the appropriate software to access the sites, Tor browser or I2P browser). I don't really focus on revisionism, but I believe people who frequent this forum will find some of the books interesting.

I can see several forms of attacks:
- Hacking, essentially breaking in on the code of the web site or its administrative panels.
- DNS attacks, Creating communication challenges for web sites and throttling or shutting them down that way.
- Pressuring hosting providers to cancel service with you.
- Getting service provider to delist or deny access to domain name.

3rd seems to be done with the Daily Stormer. And as far as I could detect trick no.4 was a new thing and done with Stormfront.org.
There are probably legal remedies on this, but they will take time. If someone took your car (theft or confiscation), you can arrange for getting it back, although in case of theft remains will be unknown. With virtual and abstract matters, it can get more complicated.

Given that several web sites were shut down, this looks like a coordinated attack to me. This has almost certainly been planned for months ahead, by people that had expert advice.

I recall that thiazi-forum has been shut down and people have actually been arrested about this. I don't think this will happen to stormfront, but they actually felt threatened by its presence and growth on the net.

Codoh-forum is a nuisance to them, but probably not that interesting or important, since it deals with a niche issue (Holocaust). They may not like it, but as long as they got the historian's guild not stepping out of line, I think they will be satisfied with controlling what most people think about the issue. Nevertheless, I think the admins should do a risk assessment and have response strategies as well as procedures against such attacks.

Those internet attacks will be a shock, but I think the response will ultimately be the opposite of what was intended.

Definitely not the case. I'm also in the US with fast wifi speed, and yet somehow I get this message every single time. Which shouldn't be the case, since Optimum claims they don't throttle websites.

I get tired of seeing things like this.
When are people going to show some determination to exert their own influence, starting with canceling cable tv.
People complain, but they don't use their #1 weapon the power of the wallet, failure to change any of this starts with a failure to follow through with the most simple and effective actions.
my actions:
no cable tv
zero movies and zero movie rentals
zero dollars spent at fast food dives (Burger King, McDonalds etc)
zero dollars spent on Pepsi products
I adhere to this religiously.
Over and over I hear people say, yeah next week I'm going to get rid of cable tv, but few follow through.
Anderson Pooper, Richard Maddow, Sheppard Smith, Don Lemon etc. have zero power without an audience.
Not to mention that most of it is online for free.

I couldn't agree more, Cold Beer. I haven't paid a cable bill in 30+ years. No movies, no Booger King and no soft drinks. That's not so much a political action as personal and practical preference. I like the occasional beer, glass of wine and a drink of whiskey but I prefer that in the comfort of my own home (or at the shop). I seem to get along quite well without the "trappings of civilization."
