Interviews with 2,000 people over 18 showed that 12 percent of respondents in the Netherlands believed the Holocaust was a myth or exaggerated - the highest among the countries surveyed.

The simple fact is that the number of victims was exaggerated:
The Nuremberg Tribunal figures for Majdanek dropped by 1.4 million to a still tragic figure
official of 78,000.
The figure for Auschwitz dropped from 2.5 - 4 million to about 1 million.
Together a roughly a 3,000,000 victim exaggeration.
This gave rise to the tale of Believer Math...6,000,000 minus 3,000,000 equals 6,000,000.
Nearly a quarter of Dutch born after 1980 believe that the number of its victims was exaggerated

Re: Nearly a quarter of Dutch born after 1980 believe that the number of its victims was exaggerated
Interviews with 2,000 people over 18 showed that 12 percent of respondents in the Netherlands believed the Holocaust was a myth or exaggerated - the highest among the countries surveyed.
This figure rose to 23% for those born after 1980, according to the survey, compared to 15% in the United States and Britain.
"This is not only very shocking, it is also very serious (...) As a society, we have a lot of work to do. And we have to do it fast," Dutch Justice Minister Dilan Yesilgoz-Zegerius said on her Twitter account in reaction to the survey.
The Netherlands were especially pushy on the issue ... The Anne Frank Cult is the prime example there.
The pushiness may have been the reason more people in the Netherlands grew suspicious on the whole thing and started to ask questions. And they may have noticed that people are manipulated with this. The Dutch left is more manipulative than those in other countries.
It's revealing that the 'Justice Minister' remarks "As a society, we have a lot of work to do. And we have to do it fast". One can disagree, of course. But, if you think that as 'justice minister' you are called to do some work on this, there is a problem. As a minister one has to accept that people may have other opinions on matters, even if one doesn't like them.
She mostly gets approval for her statement. Didn't see any that told her that maybe the skeptics have a point:

The Holocaust mathematics are a bit weird. They seem to start with the idea that six million Jews are missing from Europe and they were gassed or shot. If the figures for X are reduced, the 6 million Jews death toll remains the same as to quote a holohoaxer on Quora, if they didn’t die there they must have died somewhere else.
