Rósa Björk Brynjólfsdóttir, a Leftist member of the Iceland Parliament, introduced a new bill to ban discussion of history specifically,
It is proposed that it be punishable to publicly deny the Nazi genocide during World War II, grossly underestimate, justify, or approve of it.

The bill is now in committee and the committee is open for comments.

Please be aware, Icelanders are polite, phlegmatic, and rational. Stupid rude letters only hurt the cause of free speech.

Re: Anti-Free Speech Bill fizzles out in Althing, Iceland
The anti-Free Speech bill introduced by Rósa Björk Brynjólfsdóttir, a Leftist member of the Iceland Parliament, has fizzled out in committee.
The bill would have banned discussion of history, proposing that it be punishable to publicly deny the Nazi genocide during World War II, grossly underestimate, justify, or approve of it.
A small handful of CODOH activists got off their butts, and working with Icelandic groups, sent in well written letters to the Althing. It was enough
to deflect the Leftist attempt at thought control.
I also attribute this success to the educated and phlegmatic nature of the Icelanders. Their vast fishing industry has given them an ability to
sense the rotten smell of propaganda.

Well done to those involved
It's easier to fool someone than to convince them that they have been fooled
