In is interesting how the tattoos are shown off whenever the story is questioned. I have to wonder why the tattooists weren't employed on a wider scale, for the purpose of manufacturing specially requested human skin lampshades.

'employed' Ajax that suggests they were officially tattooed and the very process was part of the camp system. Yet strangely we do not have any pictures of the tattooing of inmates not do we have a machine or tools used for it. It has always remained an oddity for me, a distraction designed for PR purposes as some devilish haunting proof of mass murder.

That's right. Tattooing them and then killing them makes sense, for a people renowned for their efficiency.

For the poor slob whos job it was to tattoo all those armpits, then yes.... lol

That's a very good point. If I correctly remember, the Allies even used the SS tattoos to identify and arrest the SS members they could catch.

Is it claimed that tattooing was done elsewhere besides Auschwitz?

No, it isn't. Only at Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Weird the 'Evil Nazis' didn't need to dehumanize their jewish victims with tattoos before (allegedly) gassing them at Majdanek and the Reinhardt camps. :D
