It should be noted that there were actual "delousing vans" for use in killing typhus bearing lice on clothing, equipment, etc. in the field or remote locations. Nothing strange about it.
The ridiculous 'gas vans', which have been debunked here, supposedly involved the exhaust of a van being routed into it's cargo space thus killing those placed within it. That would be absurdly time & fuel consuming, very inefficient method to say the least.

Bob, there was nothing malicious when I asked you if you spoke German. All I was interested in is to find out if you consider this quotation mark issue strange, as a German speaker. I do, for from what I remember, quotation marks were used rarely, only when quoting someone, i.e., she said: „Bob is a very nice person”, or when referring to some agenda, as in „Diktatur des Prolitariats“. All of the old books in my modest library have it as such.

I therefore wonder when this changed. Why all of the unnecessary quotation marks in the documents you posted? This is not the German way. But if you are convinced that I am wrong, your prerogative.

Wilf, I´ve not considered your question malicious and I am sorry if you had this impression, I´ve only explained why I will not answer the question, that´s all, i think the reason is reasonable. Not strange at all Wilf, as I ´ve amply demonstrated, these quotation marks were in common use. I would not have called them unnecessary when these documents constitute a proof these quotation marks were in common use.

What is your position now? Do you claim all such documents are forgeries or do you accept these quotation marks were commonly used?
