How many people were killed in the alleged Holocaust? Zero or Eighty Six?

I'm "infamous" for the position that "it is conceded that nobody was gassed in Germany proper" which is true in some regards but there's always a body that continues to promote it whether from the individual museums themselves or regarding the "euthaniasia origin" hypothesis.

This part doesn't concern me.

What does is what I also considered the truth- that nobody was ever gassed in Nazi Germany- period!

I was astonished to find that in "Inside the Gas Chambers"- Carlo Mattogno seems to "conclude" that 86 people were in fact "gassed" by Phosgene gas! p221

Jurgen Graf asserts his own astonishment in translation and states that "the documents can't go any other way.

This conclusion Mattogno arrives at after entirely refuting the orthodox hypothesis that these exact same handful of inmates- mostly Jew's infected with Typhus- were killed but with hydrogen cyanide instead- featuring an utterly absurd historiographic fraud.

I understand the motivation asserted that this alleged small isolated mass murder of 86 people as Mattogno has it refutes the entire Holocaust reasonably at Auschwitz etc.

But the very notion of the 86 infected victims being brought from Auschwitz to Natzweiler just to be put away with phosgene is absurd also.
The notion that Joseph Hirt wanted these victims dispatched so he could "gain their human skeletons for the anatomical institute" is absurd.
That no such skelteons have ever been found.

And unless I am missing something in Mattogno's analysis- the only proof Mattogno was able to offer at all for their murder is the drop of 90 Jew's in the camp strength records retained for exactly this period, the rest of which is peculiarly missing if I read that correctly.

I think the very notion that anybody was "gassed" in Nazi Germany to be completely unfounded and absurd personally but would be open to it if one could show me how exactly Mattogno reached this conclusion in more lay language I can digest if what I wrote above is not quite accurate.

Why sent them away from the alleged 'extermination center Auschwitz' just to kill them and the save their bones. It would have been more efficient, less costly to just kill them at Auschwitz & collect their bones there... If the laughable tall tale was factual.

On p. 220 it appears to say that the information came from someone named "Scmaltz", and following that Mattogno asks some serious questions which question the story.
The info. presented is contradictory, yet it appears Mattogno may have blown this one, rare for him, but we're all human.
However, he does state that is was basically a one-off experiment with phosgene.
And why would there would be experiments with phosgene? It was not new. I believe phosgene was tested and used during WWI.

The whole thing stinks to high heaven.
