United Nations demands Israel release Adolf Eichmann

Like so much else, the post-War activities of Adolf Eichmann have been distorted by Believers.
The claim is that he was "hiding out" in Argentina. There is even a Hollywood movie trying to glamorizing his abduction by a team of by Mossad
agents which included drugging and smuggling him out on an EL AL flight. There is also a book entitled, "Hunting Eichmann: How a Band of Survivors and a Young Spy Agency Chased Down the World’s Most Notorious Nazi." Wikipedia now describes the abduction a "capture."

In fact, Eichmann was living a normal life as an Argentinian, giving interviews, sending letters to family, and even sending letters to the
German government offering to come to Germany to face charges, which he denied.

His thuggish kidnapping by Israel was widely condemned and on this day in 1960 the United Nations Security Council formally criticized the
Mossad actions.

Why did the Israeli government go through such complicated and criminal contortions rather than normal procedures?

The Israeli government appears to have been worried about what Eichmann would say about his alleged crimes if he had a fair and
open extradition trial in Argentina. He was getting inconveniently chatty in early 1960.
The Israeli government must have thought violating international law and the international opprobrium generated was worth the
risk of getting him under their control.
Eichmann was held at a fortified police station in Yagur in northern Israel for nine months prior to his trial in strict confinement.

I think (I have no proof) that he was kidnapped much much earlier. He was affirming holocaust but in a ridicilous manner if I remember correctly. His interviews make no sense regarding what we know. Why would he come out in public and give interviews. He if anyone should have known that speaking truth without institutional protection will get you killed. You need some institutional protection which he didnt have. If he wanted to come clean and tell the truth what actually happened, then writing a book in quitness and self publishing it first then distributing it and then selling it to some publishing company would be the ideal way to do it. Leon Degrell did it right.

One would have to draw up a timeline and then fill in dates for events. Otherwise one looses the overview on matters there.
