Like we know it was 246k or something and definitely not 6 million or even a million but looking at some other stuff like death camps like Auschwitz not really being a 'death camp' etc is it right to say it didnt happen?

If it’s 90+% exaggerated, then the very term “the Holocaust” should be rejected, IMO. It has that special name because it was supposed a uniquely evil event. But if it wasn’t, there’s no reason to give “it” that sort of special distinction.

If you define “the Holocaust” as a big bundle of things, some of which are true (eg deportations) and others which are not, I guess you could say “it happened” in some sense. But that ignores that if it weren’t for the lies and exaggerations we wouldn’t even be talking about it.

I’ve heard some revisionists like Bradley Smith and Mark Weber make this sort of comment on TV and radio programs. “We don’t say it didn’t happen, but …” I assume they adopted this tactic because they didn’t want people to assume that they were saying there were no concentration camps or something silly like that.

Gross misrepresentation of real events 76 years ago. So it didn't happen. Real stuff (like the deportations) are mixed up with atrocity propaganda in a package deal. They are pushy and autistic, when it comes to debate for a reason. Rational Analysis would send their tales quickly from historiography to the realm of mythology quite quickly. So merely an example for atrocity propaganda.

As CODOH founder Bradley Smith wrote,

"Although it is standard practice to defame Revisionists as 'anti-Semites who claim the Holocaust is just Jewish propaganda,' that is not what we at CODOH argue. Briefly, we believe that much of that history that we are taught today has been influenced by Soviet, British and American wartime propaganda which exaggerated and exploited real tragedies for propaganda purposes. This concerns not just Jews but Slavs, Roma, Jehovah’s Witnesses and, in some versions, Gays. It can be argued that there is considerable research that supports this point of view.”

When you say .is it right to say it didn't happen' that's a wide open point. What's more it all depends if you are commenting on the interweb thingy or in a face to face chat with someone. In my experience if you want to stop the conversation so you can make your point then say it didn't happen. but do it with a smile on your face. The you will get your audience to hear what you say.

I always then qualify that by saying that of course we all know the jews were persecuted and expelled. That there were concentration/work camps and that some inmates died from a number of things. But I then say that scientific research after the war shows quite clearly that there is no proof of gassings, mass murder or a policy of extermination and that's a good thing because who would want that?
'Of the four million Jews under Nazi control in WW2, six million died and alas only five million survived.'
