I just recently came across this youth who was said to have been executed by the Nazis for sedition by guillotine in October of 1942 at the age of 17. I was hoping someone could shed some light on his death? The guillotine in 1942 just sounds a bit far-fetched to me. Why didn't they just shoot him?

I've never heard of him.
However, execution for sedition by all participants in WWII, or any war, was certainly not considered cruel & unusual.
The childish guillotine claim is simply propaganda.
Reminds me of the absurd claim that those who were found guilty in the attempted assassination of Hitler were hung with piano wire.
