Perhaps there was a petrol shortage that week.

That is, of course, what we expect according to the "exterminationists"!

True, the pattern fits but the alternative 'hidden unemployment' interpretation isn't out of the question either. The camp population was rising during the summer and so the numbers assigned to crematoria duty could have been arbitrarily increased.

Unfortunately, we have no information on the number of SK during the Hungarian Action, which could demonstrate the how and when of the huge increase from 300 up to 900.

The date of the increase can be determinted by looking at the accounts of those who were selected for the Sonderkommando. According to to accounts of several Greek Sonderkommandos, they were selected between early May and mid May 1944. According to Filip Müller the final increase up to 900 took place soon after the Hungarian transports arrived in Auschwitz with 450 Hungarian Jews. A Hungarian Jew in the Sonderkommando was Dov Paisikovic. According to him, he was deported to Auschwitz in May 1944 with his family and selected for the Sonderkommando by "Moll and other SS man".

We saw Mr. Paisikovic on TV last week in a programme called 'Genocide', part of the acclaimed 1970s BBC series 'World at War'. Mr. Vrba also featured. There is something very untrustworthy about the man.

It is therefore reasonable to assume that the Sonderkommando increase took place shortly before and during the Hungarian Operation.

We would prefer to see the relevant labour reports. Is it merely coincidence that the ASM have reports showing an increase from 200 to 300 just before the Hungarian Action and ones showing a large fall immediately after the apparent Sonderkommando uprising, but none for the vital period of the Hungarian deportations?

There were also 30 Holzablader on July 29th. The Holzablader were assigned to crematorium V. Coincidence: Where the burning pits were. http://www.nizkor.org/ftp.cgi/camps/aus ... ng-pit.jpg

You know what that means, don't you? Convergence of evidence!

The camp population was rising during the summer and so the numbers assigned to crematoria duty could have been arbitrarily increased.

But Auschwitz was for Jews fit for labour merely a transit camp. German forced labour camps in the Reich were needing the work force (for slave labour in underground factories for instance). Auschwitz was allocating the work force. That thesis makes little sense therefore, let aside that it is in contradiction with the testimonial evidence that shows the heizer were no "hidden unemployment" but the Jewish Sonderkommando.

We would prefer to see the relevant labour reports.

Oh, okay. And I would prefer to speak with Himmler about these matters!

Slow down Alpha. I am not trying to take anything away from you.

We are talking about August 2, 1944. At that time Richard Baer was the camp commandant, not Höß.

And hey, why don't we ask the stokers what they did there? Extermination

An excellent idea. We know about Filip Müller who was cremating hundreds of thousands of bodies in open pits which were half full of water, with non-existing wood. And who is describing the Zyklon B introduction collumns as pillars of perforated sheet metal with a spiral type slide (“Rutschbahn”) inside. How did they ever get those pellets back after those alleged 10 minutes discharge time I wonder? And then we know about Tauber who stuffed up to 8 bodies into the muffle which has an opening of 2 ft by 2 ft.
There must be many more stokers. So let’s bring them forward, have them cross-examined under oath by an unfriendly lawyer and then let us see what they have to say.

No, Baer has testified that people had been gassed in the camp.
Richard Baer on 22 December 1960, StA Frankfurt/Main. Aktenzeichen: 4 Js 444/59, Volume XXXXII, page 7409, quoted in Kogn, Langbein, Rückerl, Nationalsozialistische Massentötungen durch Giftgas, page 199: […]

I would not trust those three musketeers Kogon, Langbein and Rückert very much. When former Judge Stäglich tried to have access to the trial protocols auf the Auschwitz trial he was not allowed. Kogon and Langbein, both Jewish communists, Langbein who was an inmate in Auschwitz with special priviliges. And Rückert who tried to make a name himself as a Nazi hunter.

To the rest of Alpha’s post:

I do not debate anything concerning the Jewish Holocaust story with anti-revisionists of the Germanistic variety. I cannot. These people are “widerlich” (disgusting) and it pains me infinitely to realize that there exists such scum.
Their debating technique is clear, they will always in any debate address the other poster in a condescending, sarcastic and insulting way. They cannot help themselves.
I will stand on the sideline as far as these … are concerned.

From J.G.Burg:
[...]Although I am Jewish it is horrible for me to watch these trials (Auschwitz, Treblinka, Majdanek, etc), to see how a good, industrious people with masochistic blissfulness commits physical, mental and spiritual harakiri [...] These war crime trials will not be honorable to the German people. The hanging of the condemmed at the Nuremberg Military Tribunals should have put a final stroke under this sad chapter. The victorious powers were shortsighted and ill advised, when they imposed these ghastly spectacles on the German people, because under the general contract the German government was dictated to continue these socalled war crime trials. Germans shall sit on judgement against Germans in this unworthy form. That is no search for justice but, since long proven, an anti-German policy.[...]

Mr. Kogon was a Catholic, presumably of the socialist-liberal variety. One can hardly condemn every opponent of Nazism of being a Jewish Communist.
