The inmates were not gassed to kill typhus-carrying lice. Their clothes, not themselves (!!), were gassed for that purpose. The inmates and deportees were shaved, showered and then dressed with clean clothes to get rid of typhus-carrying lice. In other words, Zyklon B was used for the delousing of clothes, not for the delousing of humans. The delousing procedure in German concentration camps during WWII was a rehash of the American delousing procedure at the Mexican border during WWI. Give credit where credit is due...

This appears to be at worst a troll, and at best a language-barrier issue. Yes, the Germans killed lice with poison gas, because lice spread disease and really were not useful for anything. Even if Jews were compared to insects during WWII (as pointed out, the enemy is often portrayed in dehumanizing ways during wars) that doesn't mean they decided:

Captain Winter, he of band of Brothers fame said the same but in a different way. He had fought with the 101st all the way from Normandy to Berlin and beyond. In his book he gave an appraisal of the people along the way. He found the Germans were the cleanest and had pride in their own places even after we had smashed the shit out of them. The French were pretty much down the list not in terms of cleanliness but in attitude and somewhere in there he talked of jews and other smaller groups who he had a very low opinion of in every way, including cleanliness.

The typhus problem was mostly due to the combination of a major war (typhus was also called war fever) and Eastern Europe (where that disease was endemic). No concentration camps and ghettos were needed to make Lenin say after WWI :

"Either the lice will defeat socialism or socialism will defeat the lice."

Whoever you are talking to is relying on some ridiculous leap of logic in which Jews were homicidally gassed with pesticide because someone compared them to insects before. It makes no sense.
