Wikipedia not entirely anti

Not everything on Wikipedia is anti-revisionist. Have a look at the article on the bombing of France:

That's true. However Wikipedia can barely say the French cities blew themselves up.

In most cases though, I've given up wikipedia as a source of historical information.

My point, though, is that the tone of this contributor (who appears to be French -- I edited it for the English) is quite unsympathetic to the Allies.

I took the trouble to compare the figures in each Wikipedia article, and it seems that more civilians were killed in France by Anglo-American bombing than in Britain by German bombing.

That is indeed true Kingfisher. In Britain there were about 60,000 in total, a few thousand of these not from bombs but from V2 rockets. France's total is said in the wiki article to be nearly 70,000. The total from Germany is controversial, the lowest serious figures given have been 300,000 (1945 American bombing report, likely underestimate) and the highest a million. (That was Irving's figure if I recall) Samuel Crowell has advanced a figure of 700,000 which seems reasonable to me. Austria had about 35,000 deaths including 8.769, according to an Austrian aviation website. (http://www.airpower.at/news03/0813_luft ... tistik.htm) The Netherlands had about 10,000 dead.
