"Gruelpropaganda" at work

Please look at the picture below. What does the picture tells you?

Image

To me it tells me that two men are sitting in the snow and three men are standing behind. It doesn't tell me anything more, because its origin is unknown, date unknown and the photographer is also unknown.

If you came to the same conclusion as I, you are also very, very, very wrong, because here is how the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) sees it:

Two Jewish prisoners, who were captured in the forests of Tomaszow Lubelski, sit in the snow while awaiting their execution.

Well, here are some questions:

1. How does USHMM know that the two persons in the snow are Jews? I can't see any Jew star on them. To me they could be German, Polish, Russian or Hungarian etc.

2. How does USHMM know that this photo is taken in the forests of Tomaszow Lubelski?

3. How does USHMM know that the three men standing are Germans?

4. How does USHMM know that they are going to be executed?

They must have some information that I don't have. But why not tell it to us?

"Gruelpropaganda" at its BEST!

The photo could just as well say:

- 2 illegal, non-uniformed combatants caught after fire-fight with troops

- 2 deserters questioned by military police

- 2 spies caught with stolen materials awaiting transport

- 2 rapists caught by military police awaiting transport

- 2 petty thieves being questioned

My my, the games the the 'holocau$t' Industry plays.

Hannover,

Your interpretations are good as USHMM's.

As with many photos like the one presented by Malle with those special creative captions we should ask, 'Who took the photo of the Germans waiting to kill the persons?' Who would be the ones that took any of the photos with German soldiers in them or groups awaiting to execution? The answer should be pretty clear, the same ones that took the photos of the Cremas at Birkenau - the Germans themselves.

Ah yes, photos were found in German files and they had notes attached that said what they were?

How utterly pathetic.

German or Russian helmet?

I am no expert in WW2 uniforms but that soldier to left appears to me to be carrying a Russian style helmet at his waist. It seems rounder than the German helmet and doesn’t have the projection where it angles out at the bottom. If anyone knows a uniform expert they may want to show this picture to them and get their opinion, I just wish it was of better quality.

Has anyone noticed that Holocaust promoter site pictures are usually of bad quality that cannot be blown up to see details? You would think that with all of the money they get they could put up some high quality pictures. Or maybe they don’t want you to see the details.

Yes, I notice they intentionally present poor quality photos. I especially 'appreciate' the one in the book 'Anatomy of the Auschwitz Death Camp, where we see a reverse negative print of one of the aerial recon shots of Auschwitz so they can point to something they say is "smoke". It's nothing more than a little teeny tuft that breaches the back side of the Crema V compound which in the properly printed photo shows it to be nothing more than a space breaching some trees.
