During her 18 month stay at Birkenau, she took part in the international clandestine resistance committee of the camp, apparently. In August 1944, she was transferred to work in the infirmary of Ravensbrück. From where she was liberated by the Red Army on 30 April 1945. She gave testimony at the Nuremberg Trial on 28 January 1946. From her testimony:"During this period, in all the Revieren, selections were made and all patients considered unfit for work were sent to the gas chamber. The Ravensbruck gas chamber was situated just behind the wall of the camp, next to the crematory. When the trucks came to fetch the patients we heard the sound of the motor across the camp, and the noise ceased right by the crematory whose chimney rose above the high wall of the camp."
Sounds more like an earwitness, which did interpret the meaning of what was heard into its testimony. Shouldn't really surprise us here. But there are people that fall for this, over and over again.
