His assumption that the average weight of adults, including children, was 75 kg and 60 kg respectively is questionable, to put it mildly. Already the average weight of male adult Scots was 63 kg and 64 kg for adult US Americans in 1941. A more realistic figure for Eastern European adults and children in 1941/1942 seems to be 50 kg on average.
