!! follow-up on Zuendel arrest by Dr. Ingrid Rimland !!

Postby Hannover » 2 decades 3 months ago (Fri Feb 07, 2003 8:20 pm)

Well, let's see if everyone can stay on topic with this one, myself included. This is the introduction to Dr. Rimland's latest ZGram, it was followed by a long list of notes from supporters and a single bizarre detractor.

ZGram - Where Truth is Destiny

February 7, 2003

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

I have been deluged with interview requests from major media, all of which I turned down with relish. Let them all stew a bit! The
Internet is where it's at - and we have barely started!

To say that the Net is ablaze once again with the Zundel struggle is probably an understatement. One ZGram reader wrote: "I am amazed at how much discussion is going on {in the newsgroups} over this. Great to see."

To which I replied:

"I think that this is yet another stepping stone toward historical
truth. Ernst is a big, big hero on the world stage! Certainly more
admired and loved at this time than his enemies are! You may quote me on that, if you like!"

I will keep you informed about developments to the extent that I can.
Meanwhile, here is a smorgasbord of reader letters - all of them from people on OUR side, with the exception of the last one: the ONLY nasty letter I have, so far, received!

For how long have I said, "There's more of US than THEM"? That ought to be a bumper sticker slogan, don't you think?

My friends around the world, take heart! This is another painful
blow. We are, however, going to fight this round like any other
round. With honor! Courage! And conviction that we are right and have the truth on our side, while all "they" have is lies.

I'll do my part. You know that you can help and will be asked to help.

And to think I was about to quit my ZGrams, believing that they had gone stale? Heaven has interfered!
If it can't happen as alleged, then it didn't.

U.S. immigration agents arrest Canadian neo-Nazi on visa problems
Fri Feb 7,10:06 PM ET

By DUNCAN MANSFIELD, Associated Press Writer

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee - A man notorious for neo-Nazi writings and for running a white supremacist publishing house in Toronto has been arrested for having an expired visa, immigration authorities said.

Immigration and Naturalization Service agents arrested Ernst Zundel, 63, on Wednesday without resistance.

"He has not been removed from the country, but I can tell you he is in our custody," Sarah Mouw, a spokeswoman for the INS in New Orleans, said Friday.

Zundel had been living in the foothills of eastern Tennessee's Great Smoky Mountains for about two years. No one answered the phone at Zundel's home in Sevierville Friday.

"I don't know what his immigration status is but he is a bad boy," said Abraham Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League. "He is an anti-Semite, a Holocaust denier. He is somebody America could do without."

He immigrated to Canada in 1958 to escape the draft in West Germany, according to the Anti-Defamation League.

By the 1970s, he was running a Toronto-based publishing company that produced white supremacist books with titles such as "The Hitler We Loved and Why."

In the 1980s, Canadian officials temporarily suspended his mailing privileges and later sued him for "knowingly publishing false news." He was convicted, but the Canada's Supreme Court struck down the "false news" law in 1992 before he could go to jail.

Canada later refused to grant him citizenship, prompting his move to Tennessee.

A Web site, "Zundelsite," which the Canadian Human Rights Commission tried to outlaw, also moved to Tennessee.

Not content with bringing down the Space Shuttle over Palestine, Texas, the Almighty now arranges the arrest of Ernst Zundel! From the sublime to the ridiculous....

I'm sure this will work to Revisionism's advantage, the publicity will be fabulous and interest will be increased. Zuendel certainly knows how to get publicity, his court cases in Canada proved that. Millions of dollars of free publicity, such a deal. The 'holocau$t' Industry has been shot in the foot again courtesy of the INS, Zuendel will get the last laugh.

I see we have the judeo-supremacist criminal organization, the ADL, which has numerous court judgements against it, calling the tune to the press about Zuendel; but that does figure with the press being what it is.

B'Nai Brith Canada Asks Minister to Bar Zundel Return

OTTAWA, Feb. 10 /CNW/ - Warning that he could pose a danger to Canadian security if allowed to return, Bnai Brith Canada today asked Citizenship and Immigration Minister Denis Coderre for assurances that the government would block any attempt by the United States to deport Ernst Zundel to this country.

"It is our position that Mr. Zundel is inadmissible under Canadian
immigration laws," stated David Matas, Senior Legal Counsel for Bnai Brith
Canada in a letter sent to the Minister today, "It would be a disgrace to
allow Zundel, a long time hate promoter and Holocaust denier, to re-enter
Canada"

May we, speaking on behalf of the citizens of the United Kingdom, be the first to extend the offer of political asylum to Mr. Zundel in the event that he chooses not to return to Germany.

Any attempt to deport Zundel to Germany from the US will create a crisis just made for 'holocau$t' Revisionism publicity.

It takes what it takes for people to wake up.

A Google News search turns up only three newspaper reports of Mr. Zundel's arrest so far: Toronto Star, Edmonton Sun and the Maryville Daily Times. It's hardly frontpage news across America.

Two factors:

- his wife, Dr. Ingrid Rimland (a US citizen), has declined interviews from the media, that's going to change

- there's has been no attempt to deport Zundel

The fact is that Mr. Zundel has no public profile in America. That's why the story isn't being covered. And even if he did, why would the Zionist controlled media highlight the story?

- there's has been no attempt to deport Zundel

Until we know more details of his case - about which Ms. Rimland has been notably silent - further comment would be superfluous.

Ofcourse Zundel has no "profile" in the US, he's only been here a short time. On the other hand his wife is a citizen with full rights who can make things very difficult, and very noisy for the INS and the traditional enemies of free speech.

....why would the Zionist controlled media highlight the story?

They won't be able to completely ignore it, they'll try to spin it the best they can, but the foreign press, alternative press, and the Internet will scoop them if they don't cover it.

I was a bad move by our masters to go after Zundel, he had been very quiet; but that's going to end when he & Ingrid start the interviews and legal proceedings. Should be very interesting.

And still no gas chambers.

Breaking news, as seen on Mr. Irving's website, is that American radio reports that Mr. Zundel is going to be deported to Germany.

Here's an article from the Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail:

Deportation to Germany threatens jailed Zundel

By COLIN FREEZE
CRIME REPORTER

Thursday, February 13, 2003 – Page A9

Ernst Zundel could face deportation to Germany and that country's powerful antihate laws, after making use of North American civil liberties to deny the Holocaust for more than 20 years.

Mr. Zundel, a German national with permanent-residency status in Canada, had long confounded this country's efforts to shut him up. But on Feb. 5, he was arrested at his Tennessee home by five U.S. immigration agents who came with a deportation order alleging that he overstayed a visa.

A spokesman for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service said yesterday that it appears Mr. Zundel, who is in jail, will be sent to Germany soon.

Temple Black, a New Orleans-based INS spokesman, said that unless Mr. Zundel files a refugee claim or uses some other legal tactic, he could be sent back within "a couple of weeks."

"We have to wait for the paperwork from Germany; that's the way it normally works," Mr. Black said. "And then he'll be deported back to his home country."

Canadian Jewish groups, which had been worried that the United States might try to send Mr. Zundel to Canada, are overjoyed at the prospect that their long-time adversary soon could be in Europe.

Germany has strict criminal laws governing the spread of hate, meaning it would be very difficult for Mr. Zundel, a self-styled freedom-of-expression activist, to spread the message there that he has from North America.

"In Germany, he will be literally out of business. That's something that will make most people breathe a sigh of relief," said Bernie Farber, spokesman for the Canadian Jewish Congress.

During a visit to Munich in 1991, Mr. Zundel was charged with slander, offending the memory of the dead, inciting racial hatred, public incitement and possession of illegal Nazi symbols. He was fined about $30,000, though the amount was reduced to $9,000 on appeal.

In 1996, German Internet-service providers were investigated by the government for providing access to Mr. Zundel's Toronto-based Web site.

Mr. Zundel immigrated to Canada as a teenager in 1958. During the 1980s, he became a familiar and notorious figure.

Reporters would flock to Mr. Zundel's news conferences, where he would complain of persecution by the justice system -- while wearing hardhats or skull caps, or in blackface or strapped to a crucifix. His Toronto home became a library for the like-minded and the site of many protests, arrests and the occasional bombing.

Mr. Zundel twice attempted to obtain Canadian citizenship. In the late 1980s he was convicted of the little-known law against spreading false news, but the decision was overturned by the Supreme Court of Canada.

In the late 1990s, the issue was whether his Toronto Web site disseminated hate. Before losing that battle, Mr. Zundel ceased to defend himself and headed south. "It is perfectly clear to me that the courts of Canada have simply decided that Ernst Zundel has got to go," he said at the time.

About three years ago, he and his wife, Ingrid Rimland Zundel, moved to Sevierville, Tenn., a community of about 12,000 best known as the birthplace of country singer Dolly Parton. Using a Web site, the couple continued to make their views known.

Shortly after moving there, Mr. Zundel said in an interview with The Globe and Mail that he was enjoying the U.S. South. "America, obviously, has a 225-year history of freedom of speech," he said at the time. "I mean, they mean it. None of the things that I've been dragged through the courts for in Canada would have brought me near a courthouse in the United States."

He added: "You have all kinds of intellectual people here in the United States who do and think and write and speak about the topics that I do, and have absolutely no problems with the authorities."

His wife said yesterday that he is "doing okay under the circumstances."

She would not provide the name of his lawyer.

Why dodge my question?
Zundel may be imprisoned in Germany for his 'holocau$t' Revisonist viewpoints. Do you support laws which would imprison people for Revisionist viewpoints? Yes or no.

Notwithstanding our earlier suggestion that Mr. Zundel seek political asylum in this country, we note that as a German citizen he is already perfectly entitled to come and live in Britain under EU law.
