Alternative Hypothesis: Then Where did the Jews Go?

Postby PrudentRegret » 1 year 1 day ago (Wed Jun 08, 2022 11:51 am)

The Alternative Hypothesis released a long-form video yesterday on the problem of post-War Jewish population statistics: https://www.bitchute.com/video/z02WUE3tSpUc/

It's a very thorough analysis; it makes use of mainstream/non-Revisionist sources and uses conservative estimates along the way that make the argument more persuasive to the viewer. Much of the content follows from Sanning, so if you have read through The Dissolution of Eastern European Jewry (https://codoh.com/library/document/the-dissolution-of-eastern-european-jewry/en/) you may already be familiar with the primary arguments, which are:

  • The USSR had a record of manipulating census data for political purposes, including shifting the ethnic breakdowns of the USSR for political motives.
  • The USSR had a political motive for doing the same in tabulating post-War Jewish population, so the census data is prima facie suspect.
  • USSR census data suggests a 4.4 million reduction in Polish/Soviet Jews between 1939 and 1947, but using estimates that are favorable to the Holocaust story it remains highly implausible that Hitler had access to more than 1.9 million Polish/Soviet Jews, which even if every single Jew under that influence were killed would not explain even the majority of USSR-recorded Jewish population decline in those regions.

The video is excellent in presenting Sanning's argument in a high-quality video format.

I think the video is probably too information-dense to be persuasive to low-information viewers who have limited knowledge of the Holocaust and especially Revisionist arguments. But it still does emphasize the overall points above, mainly that Hitler did not have access to nearly the number of Jews recorded as declining in population in Soviet census data.

Meta

The content in the video is important, but I think even more important is the Alternative Hypothesis entering the discussion. His channel gained popularity and was at the forefront of online-political debate on the scientific reality of race, which was most prominent probably from about 2015-2018. He was known for presenting highly-researched and data-driven videos (like this one). His content persuaded me on the scientific arguments for race. I arrived at Holocaust Revisionism independently, but if I had not already done so I would have probably been willing to read more into Revisionism simply by the fact that AltHype has taken up the issue and he has credibility for influencing my opinion on a different, contentious and taboo issue.

I know that this is important to anti-deniers as well. Last year on the Skeptic Forums one anti-denier user, OozySubstance, tried to tout the demise of Revisionism by specifically claiming that AltHype wasn't a denier (as in: see! Revisionists couldn't change AltHype's mind!). So I'm sure that even as an exterminationist he finds it significant that AltHype has entered the discussion on the Revisionist side. And that touches on some anecdotal observations I've made: In the past couple of years, in seems like Holocaust Revisionism is growing enormously in online discourse.

For one, the Unz review gets a lot of views and engagement and, when the topic comes up, Holocaust Revisionism is overwhelmingly more accepted by user commentators compared to the Official narrative. There are many right-wing Telegram chats, typically coalesced around some content creator exiled from Twitter, with hundreds of users where Revisionism is conventional wisdom, and when the Holocaust comes up (with surprising frequency), the consensus is that the Revisionist perspective is correct. I've even very recently see acceptance of Revisionism bubbling up in some neo-reactionary (NRx) circles, which is not an anti-semitic political subculture and tries to present its own rationale for rejecting anti-semitism. But still, I am seeing more debate and acceptance of the Revisionist perspective there as well (although not as unanimous as right-wing circles).

I can't imagine that this level of popular acceptance of Holocaust Revisionism existed 10 years ago. It's probably an unintended consequence of Twitter censorship. Swathes of users and public figures are banned from Twitter, so they and their communities coalesce on Telegram and consensus seems to be building around Holocaust Revisionism at a greater rate than would have happened if everyone remained on Twitter. There's no scientific polling, but there may be more Revisionists now than at the height of Revisionist public exposure in the late 90s/early 2000s. That is of course thanks to the excellent content created and published by communities like CODOH over the decades which, in my opinion, will pay major dividends for generations to come.

It's a very well put together video. His thesis is something the population figures of Jews in the Eastern Territories are completely unreliable, and that there were fewer Jews in the occupied Eastern Territories than the number Hitler allegedly exterminated. A useful map from the video (1:02:15):

Image
The maximum extent of the German occupation of the USSR, 1.9m Jews under their control, each dot 100,000.

Image
Stalin had about 4.1 million Jews under his control at the time.

Image
After the Soviets push the Germans back, there's now only 2.1 million under Soviet control.

Population figures of Jews have always been problematic because individuals can be counted as Jews during one census and no longer counted on the next, and this would appear as a "Jewish death" when in fact the person is very much alive. If you want to find 6 million phantom Jews in population censuses, look no further than the USA, where Jewish organizations estimate over 6 million people in the USA fitting certain definitions of "Jewish" but not others. From:

Issues with post-WWII Jewish census figures
viewtopic.php?t=12735

"Following these observations, relying on the 2013 Pew survey and its subsequent updates, stressing that the true predicament of American Jewish demography concerns population definitions, and following the assumption that Jewish identity is mutually exclusive versus other competing religious and ethnic identities, our core Jewish population estimate remains stable at 5,700,000 for 2018—the world's second largest. Broader definitional criteria naturally generate higher estimates. Including the partly Jewish with no religion and the pertinent portion of non-Jews with declared Jewish background, about eight million Americans have at least one Jewish parent. The enlarged total population including non-Jews in Jewish households approaches ten million. The Law of Return population probably approaches twelve million. By each of these expanded criteria, the number of persons included is significantly larger than in Israel."

NOTE: I am taking a leave of absence from revisionism to focus on other things. At this point, the ball is in their court to show the alleged massive pits full of human remains at the so-called "extermination camps." After 8 decades they still refuse to do this. I wonder why...

As usual, this is based on misrepresentations of sources. For example, to get the population reductions he wants, alt hype claims (citing the Universal Jewish Encyclopedia) that there were 600,000 Polish Jewish refugees in Siberia.

The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia did not however do any original research, but apparently relied upon the JDC*. What did the JDC say? "Estimates varied on the number of Polish Jews in the Asiatic Russian Republics. Some claims were as high as 600,000, others indicated that there were less than 100,000."

Also, it is interesting that Faulk/Alt Hyp ignores the Nazis own data on the number of Jews under their occupation, as reflected in the Wannsee protocols and the Korherr Report. The Nazi data was based on censuses (the Polish Jews, after being stuffed into ghettos, had to conduct regular censuses of their numbers, and these data informed the Kroherr Report and the Wannsee data.)

Can you post the censuses?

I recently finished watching this video and am starting to wonder how (if at all) this factors into the question of the AR camp transits / deportations... I lack the statistical knowledge to dive deep into this question but wondering if anyone here might have some thoughts.

They did go where they went. While that is most certainly an interesting question for History Enthusiast. Not answering the question should have zero bearing on being an argument for the hypothesis that they were gassed.

The argument that "You don't know where he is, hence he has been murdered" is obviously a fallacy and asking the question is actually an attempt at deceiving the audience. Of course most dimwitted Holocaust Believers don't do that on purpose. They sincerely believe the tales and they do so, because they don't really have a clue how logic and proper methodology works.

In reverse them. Fine: You think this proves them Jews were gassed. But where are all the corpses/remains, if they were all killed in some way? A reasonable person what concede that the lack of evidence for this is sufficient reason for reasonable doubt. If there is reasonable doubt in the Holocaust people promoting it are disingenuous to insist that others have to believe in it prohibiting them to dispute it.

Those Jews that claim they "have lost family in Auschwitz" are possibly sincere in their belief, since this is what they have been told. But how do they know this? They don't. They got a letter that said so and that's it. Does issuing the letter didn't have evidence neither... And in that case they'd actually have to admit that those relatives 'were missing' and that they are still looking. That they did not do so, but insisted them being gassed/killed proves that they were dishonest.

It's OK to say we SUSPECT that they have been killed, but selling this as certain truth is simply dishonest and trying to make others believe it is malicious to put it mildly. Especially when you sell this to kids trying to insinuate that their grand/parents were somehow guilty of the death of those Jews.

But back to factual research. I recall documents that stated that those Jews being deported "Where put to work in the newly occupied Eastern territories". Those were internal German documents, so no need to lie there.

On the Jews who say that other Jews disappeared, what follows is interesting:
Yad Vashem revealed that people believed to have been killed in the war actually survived. Two Jewish families from Warsaw, that of Nisan Band and that of his sister Jenta, wife Bor(e)nstein, both spent the war years in the Soviet Union. After the liberation, each of the two families believed that the other had been killed by the Nazis. Nisan Band remained in the Soviet Union until his death in 1983, believing that apart from him, his wife and children, his entire family had been wiped out. In 1948, Jenta Band and her husband Symcha Bor(e)nstein emigrated to Israel with their children. Symcha Bor(e)nstein testified at Yad Vashem that his brother-in-law Nisan Band was among the victims of the Holocaust. The children of Nisan Band emigrated to Israel in the 1990s. In 2016, they were surprised to find that their father, who died in 1983, had been a victim of the Holocaust at Yad Vashem. They inquired about the identity of the declarant and that is how each family knew that the other had not been killed. Henia Moskowitz, daughter of the Borensteins, said: ““I grew up believing that our entire family was murdered in Poland. My parents never talked about the Shoah or their past lives.” (Aryeh Savir, “Family separated by Holocaust reunites in Jerusalem", ''World Israel News'', December 13, 2016, https://worldisraelnews.com/family-sepa ... jerusalem/ ; Tamara Zieve, "Second-generation Holocaust survivors discover living relatives », ''The Jerusalem Post'', December 13, 2016, http://www.jpost.com/Diaspora/Second-ge ... ves-475283 ; « First cousins who thought entire family died in Holocaust united in Israel”, JTA (Jewish Telegraphic Agency), December 13, 2016, https://www.jta.org/2016/12/13/israel/f ... mily-died- in-holocaust-united-in-israel .)

On August 17, 1986, the "Jerusalem Post" published an article according to which Shmuel Krakowski, director of Yad Vashem, had told it that more than half of the 20,000 testimonies of Holocaust survivors recorded at Yad Vashem were "unreliable ". (Barbara Amouyal, “Doubts over evidence of camp survivors,” The Jerusalem Post, August 17, 1986.) Shmuel Krakowski sent the newspaper a denial which was published on August 22. (Jamie McCarthy, “Pat Buchanan and the Holocaust,” Phdn site, https://phdn.org/archives/holocaust-his ... index.html).
